About Carson

Hailing from Overland Park, Kansas, Carson Tate embarked on his performance journey at a young age, finding his first stage in local community theater at just 13. His natural knack for storytelling through acting and singing quickly set him apart.

 

Formal training under mentors Alan Held and Samuel Ramey at Wichita State University refined his vocal talents, leading to notable roles in operas like Gianni Schicchi and Street Scene. In 2017, Tate's dedication was rewarded with the Tabor College Music Festival Award for Musical Theatre.

 

A highlight of Carson's career was his portrayal of Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at Herschend Family Entertainment, a role he cherishes for its timeless resonance. His versatility shines through in productions like Something Rotten, The Drowsy Chaperone, Songs for a New World, and The SpongeBob Musical.

 

Offstage, Carson finds solace in playing the piano and guitar, using music as a means of relaxation and self-expression. He's also an avid adventurer, seeking experiences that infuse his performances with authenticity and vitality.
